## Tools

14 declared. Statically extracted from the shipped source — a floor on the surface, not a census.
- `search` — Full-text search over pages saved with Markpin (title, extracted content, clipped text, notes, tags). Returns page summaries ranked by relevance with a short sn
- `get_page` — Returns one page in full: metadata, tags, summary, extracted content, every clip with its note and highlight color, the absolute path of the Markdown file, and
- `list_recent` — Lists the most recently updated pages, newest first. With bookmarked=true, lists pages with a reading bookmark, newest bookmark first.
- `list_tags` — Lists every tag in use with the number of pages carrying it, most used first.
- `save_page` — Saves a URL as a new Markpin page. If the URL is already saved, returns that page without changes. Pass content when you already have the page text; otherwise t
- `update_tags` — Adds and/or removes tags on one or more pages in a single confirmation.
- `add_clip` — Adds a quoted text clip (with an optional note) to a saved page. The text should appear in the page content so it can be highlighted on revisit.
- `set_clip_note` — Replaces the note on one clip. An empty note clears it.

## Install

**Verdict: review** — Installable, but 1 thing to check first: No publisher has proved control of this listing; it is indexed, not vouched for.
**Cautions** (coverage gaps and advisories — never blocking)
- No publisher has proved control of this listing; it is indexed, not vouched for.
**Config** (claude-code):
```json
"{\n  \"mcpServers\": {\n    \"mcp\": {\n      \"command\": \"npx\",\n      \"args\": [\n        \"-y\",\n        \"@markpin/mcp\"\n      ]\n    }\n  }\n}"
## Blast radius
Extensive to critical — no credential declaration found, from the publisher, the upstream registry, or the README. Known so far: deletes data; runs on your machine.
- Floor 36, ceiling 60 (tier: unknown)
- `unknown` means the floor and ceiling land in different bands — not measured enough to name one. It does not mean low.
- This is impact, not likelihood. A high radius is not a defect: a filesystem server is supposed to write files. It is never part of the trust score.
